Common questions

What happens on a discovery call?

It’s a relaxed 15–20 minute conversation, at no cost. You tell me what’s going on and what you’d like to be different. I’ll explain how I work and whether I think I can help. If it isn’t the right fit, I’ll say so and point you somewhere that might be.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can get in touch directly. If anything comes up during our work that needs medical assessment, I’ll discuss it with you and, with your consent, write to your GP so your care stays joined up.

What’s the difference between dietetic support and coaching?

Dietetic support is evidence-based nutritional care for a symptom, condition or goal: the what. Coaching works on the patterns, beliefs and routines that make change hard to sustain: the how. Many people benefit from both, and we can combine them.

Is a Registered Dietitian different from a nutritionist?

Yes. “Dietitian” is a protected title in the UK. Registered Dietitians are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council, are the only nutrition professionals qualified to work with diagnosed medical conditions, and are bound by a professional standards and ethics framework.

How much does it cost?

The discovery call is free of charge and carries no obligation. Fees and package details are shared with you after your discovery call and are set out in your client portal, so you can see exactly what is included before deciding whether to go ahead.
