If you’ve ever felt frustrated that you know what you should be doing but still struggle to make lasting changes, you’re certainly not alone.
Over the years, I’ve met so many people who have tried numerous diets, meal plans or health programmes, only to find themselves back where they started. It isn’t because they’ve failed; it’s because lasting change is about much more than knowing what to eat.
As a Registered Dietitian with over 30 years’ experience, combined with professional health coach training, I offer a different approach. Together, we’ll combine evidence-based nutrition with coaching techniques that help you understand yourself better, build sustainable habits and create meaningful change that lasts well beyond our time working together.
Every person is unique, which is why there is no one-size-fits-all solution. My role is to understand your lifestyle, your health goals and the challenges you face, before working with you to develop a personalised plan that feels realistic, achievable and enjoyable.
Understanding your patterns
Lasting change isn’t just about knowing what to eat. It’s about understanding the patterns that shape your everyday choices.
Together, we’ll explore the behaviours, routines and beliefs that may be influencing your relationship with food, health and wellbeing. You may recognise patterns such as:
-
Eating in response to stress
-
Putting everyone else’s needs before your own
-
Struggling with an all-or-nothing mindset
-
Believing you’ve “failed” whenever life gets in the way
These patterns often develop over many years, and they’re rarely changed by another diet or meal plan alone.
Through professional coaching, we’ll work to increase your self-awareness so you can begin to recognise these patterns without judgement. As your awareness grows, so does your ability to make conscious choices that better align with your goals and values.
We’ll also explore any limiting beliefs that may be holding you back, perhaps the feeling that you’ve “always been this way”, that change never lasts, or that you’re simply not someone who can maintain healthy habits. By gently challenging these beliefs and replacing them with more empowering ways of thinking, you’ll build greater confidence in your ability to create meaningful, lasting change.
Where I can help
Areas I am asked about most.
Weight and sustainable habitsMoving away from restrictive dieting and building habits that fit around your own routine, so the changes you make are ones you can keep.
Type 2 diabetes and metabolic healthEvidence-based nutrition support following diagnosis, helping you understand what to eat and make realistic changes that support your long-term health.
Menopause and midlife nutritionPractical guidance for a stage when weight, energy and appetite can all shift, and when what worked before no longer seems to.
Protein and muscle healthWorking out how much protein you actually need and where it comes from across the day, so you can maintain strength as you get older.
Healthy ageing and healthspanNutrition aimed at the years ahead, supporting you to stay active and independent for longer rather than simply living longer.
Nutritional optimisationA closer look at the quality of your diet, identifying the gaps and the practical changes that make the most difference day to day.
Your reasons for wanting to make a change are personal to you. Perhaps your health has changed, you’re navigating midlife or menopause, or you’ve simply reached a point where you want to prioritise your health and wellbeing.Vicky
Going a step further
Detailed nutritional assessment.
For clients choosing my enhanced programme, we can take this one step further. Using a comprehensive seven-day food diary and professional nutritional analysis software, I’ll assess not only your energy intake but also the overall quality and nutrient density of your diet.
Together, we’ll explore factors such as protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals, meal balance and eating patterns, allowing us to identify practical opportunities to optimise your nutrition and support your long-term health.
This can be particularly valuable as you get older, when you may be thinking more about maintaining muscle, managing changes in weight or body composition, and making sure your nutrition continues to meet your changing needs.
What you’ll leave with
Not another restrictive plan to follow.
Instead, I want you to leave with a deeper understanding of yourself, greater confidence in your choices, and the knowledge and skills to continue making positive changes independently.
She helped me understand what my priorities are in life (what I want to be, do and have) and the importance of knowing the ‘why’. Since coaching I have had a much more positive mindset and my goals seem more achievable now I can break them down. Vicky has given me skills to take with me for life, I couldn’t be more grateful!Mary Read more client stories
