My story

I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy better health and wellbeing.

My role isn’t to promise quick fixes or perfect diets, but to help people better understand their health, regain confidence in themselves, and create a way forward that genuinely fits their lives.

Why I do what I do

Changes that improve your health today, and support you long into the future.

Working together, we’ll build an approach that’s grounded in evidence, shaped around your individual circumstances, and designed to help you move forward with greater clarity, resilience and confidence.

The experience behind my approach

No two people are the same.

For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through a wide range of health challenges as a Registered Dietitian. Much of my career has been spent within the NHS, working with people of all ages and backgrounds, from those managing complex long-term medical conditions to those navigating significant life changes.

Alongside my clinical work, I’ve published articles and research papers, co-authored chapters in medical textbooks, and been honoured with several NHS leadership awards. These experiences have shaped my thinking, but it’s the people I’ve worked with who have taught me the most.

Every person I’ve worked with has reinforced one simple truth: no two people are the same. What works brilliantly for one person may not work for another, which is why I’ve always believed that truly effective care begins with understanding the individual sitting in front of you.

Why coaching became part of my work

Knowledge alone isn’t always enough.

Even when people understand what will benefit their health, putting that knowledge into practice can feel overwhelming. Life is busy, habits become ingrained, confidence can disappear, and knowing what to do doesn’t always mean feeling able to do it.

That’s what inspired me to train as a professional coach. By combining evidence-based dietetics with coaching, I’m able to support not only the what of better health, but also the how. Together, we bridge the gap between understanding what supports your health and creating practical, lasting changes that work in everyday life.

She helped me understand what my priorities are in life (what I want to be, do and have) and the importance of knowing the ‘why’.

A commitment to learning

Healthcare is constantly evolving.

I believe my clients deserve advice that’s current, evidence-based and tailored to their individual needs.

Throughout my career I’ve continued to invest in postgraduate study and professional development across areas including gastrointestinal health, the low FODMAP approach, counselling skills, behaviour change and professional coaching. For me, learning isn’t about collecting qualifications. It’s about ensuring every client benefits from the best evidence and the most effective approaches available.

My approach to working with people

Good healthcare isn’t about telling people what to do.

It’s about listening carefully, understanding what’s important to you, and working alongside you to find solutions that fit your life.

Whether we’re exploring nutrition, building healthier habits or overcoming barriers to change, my role is to help you join the dots between understanding your health and feeling confident enough to take the next step.

Beyond the consulting room

Health should help us enjoy life more fully.

Outside work, you’ll usually find me exploring the Cornish coast, hiking, open-water swimming, skiing, strength training or cooking for family and friends.

Looking after my own health and wellbeing isn’t about perfection. It’s about living the same values I encourage in others every day. I believe health should help us enjoy life more fully, not become another source of pressure, and that’s a philosophy I try to bring into every conversation with my clients.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I’d love the opportunity to hear yours.
